A rare silver salt cellar in the form of a throne, with a tall, intricately pierced back executed in chisel technique. The composition combines geometric and vegetal motifs characteristic of the Moscow Neo-Russian style of the late 19th century. The upper part of the back is decorated with a complex openwork pattern centered around a solar emblem, symbolizing prosperity and well-being. The trapezoidal body features profiled edges and a geometric border. The interior is richly gilt, giving the piece a festive appearance while protecting the silver from salt corrosion.
