A rare and highly expressive perfume flacon crafted in polychrome porcelain with abundant gilding, characteristic of the production of the Jacob Petit manufactory. The composition is distinguished by its complex architectural form: a hexagonal body set within an openwork base supported by sculptural feet in the form of stylised swans, richly gilded. The relief decoration with Rocaille motifs and finely modelled details reflects the aesthetics of Neorococo, so fashionable in France during the reign of Louis-Philippe and the Second Empire.

The body panels are adorned with vibrant hand-painted floral bouquets and ornamental cartouches in насыщенных green and deep purple tones. The rich enamel palette is combined with matte and burnished gilding, creating an effect of festive opulence. The upper section retains its removable stopper with a wide disc-shaped finial and a gilt neck. Inside, a glass reservoir for perfume is preserved.

The piece embodies the defining features of Jacob Petit: eclectic form, theatrical silhouette, and bold use of gilding and contrasting polychromy. The underglaze blue mark in the form of a stylised “JP” monogram confirms the attribution to the manufactory.

Marks: Underglaze blue “JP” mark to the base.

Dimensions: Height approximately 25 cm.

Material: Porcelain, overglaze enamel decoration, gilding, glass insert.

Condition: Good. Minor wear to the gilding consistent with age.
