A festive vodka set выполнен in the form of an Easter egg, composed of two glass halves joined by a metal hinge with a locking clasp. The body is made of transparent glass set on a profiled base with a gilded rim along the edge. The interior arrangement is carefully designed: at the center stands a glass decanter with stopper, surrounded symmetrically by seven small shot glasses secured within a metal mount.

The upper part of the body forms a domed lid opening to the side, a feature characteristic of ceremonial and presentation sets. The glass is decorated with polychrome enamel painting featuring vegetal ornament and stylized blossoming branches rendered in white, gold, and blue tones. The ornament bears a festive and symbolic character, visually associated with the springtime Easter theme.

An inscription “Khristos Voskrese” (Christ is Risen) is applied to the body in traditional Cyrillic orthography, clearly indicating the religious and ritual purpose of the object. Such inscriptions were widely used in decorative arts associated with Easter, reinforcing the status of the piece as a symbolic gift.

The metal elements of the mount and hinge are gilded, serving both functional and decorative purposes and emphasizing the ceremonial character of the object. The overall composition demonstrates a combination of utility, ornamentality, and symbolism typical of Russian Easter gift items of the 20th century.

Easter vodka sets in the form of an egg belong to a distinctive category of Russian decorative and applied arts of the 20th century, where Orthodox traditions merge with the culture of festive dining. Easter in Russia remained for centuries a central religious and family celebration, accompanied by elaborate rituals of hospitality, exchange of symbolic gifts, and display of household status. The egg form, employed in such objects, derives from the ancient Christian symbol of Resurrection and new life, making it especially significant in Easter-related utensils and souvenir production.

Throughout the 20th century, despite profound social transformations, the tradition of producing Easter gift objects persisted, particularly in the field of artistic glassmaking. Transparent glass combined with enamel painting allowed artisans to achieve striking decorative effects, uniting the lightness of the material with the richness of ornament. Floral motifs associated with spring, together with the use of gilding, enhanced the festive character of these works.

Vodka sets of this type fulfilled a dual function. On one hand, they served as practical elements of table setting, intended for serving strong spirits during праздничные gatherings. On the other, they acted as independent decorative objects and symbolic gifts, often presented at Easter as tokens of goodwill, prosperity, and respect. The completeness of the set, including an individual decanter and a series of glasses, as well as the complex construction of the case, свидетельствует о высоком уровне художественного замысла и ориентации на парадное использование. Today, such objects are regarded as characteristic monuments of material culture, reflecting the continuity of Easter traditions within Russian domestic life of the 20th century.

Good overall condition. All elements present. Glass components without damage; enamel decoration and gilding preserved, with minor signs of age-related wear.
