Figurine chryséléphantine en bronze et ivoire Femme au cerceau. Créée par Georges Morin en 1920, cette exquise figurine est un superbe exemple de sculpture Art Déco. La composition montre une jeune fille élégante figée en mouvement avec un cerceau dans les mains. La figure est réalisée en bronze doré, habilement combiné avec de l`ivoire lisse, qui est utilisé pour représenter les bras, les jambes et la poitrine nus. Georges Morin (German: Georges Morin) is an outstanding German painter, sculptor and medalist, who left a noticeable mark on the art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Known for his multi-faceted talent, Morin became famous in such fields as architectural sculpture, painting, medallion art, and the creation of statues and figures. Education and InspirationGeorges Morin was born on April 30, 1874 in Berlin, Germany. His path to art began at the Berlin Academy of Art, where he studied from 1892 to 1896 under the guidance of masters Ernst Herter and Peter Breuer. After successfully completing his studies, Morin continued his education in Paris, attracted by the beauty and grace of the oriental dancers of the Commedia Dell′Arte. Their fluid movements and expressive poses became a source of inspiration for many of his works.
