The monumental painting Boat on a Winter Stream, created in 1904 in the studio of the outstanding Russian artist Yuli Yulievich Klever, takes the viewer to the world of winter peace. The winter landscape is filled with peace and tranquility. Light frost covers the roofs of village houses and tree branches, conveying the atmosphere of a quiet winter evening. A lonely boat by the frozen bank of a stream symbolizes the expectation of change. Snow covering the ground creates a sense of simplicity and completeness of nature. The sky, painted in pink-golden tones of the setting sun, conveys the fragility of the moment. The painting not only depicts a winter landscape, but also emphasizes the inevitability of the change of seasons, the eternal cycle of life. The author conveys in his works not only the beauty of nature, but also its emotional depth, turning every detail into a praise of the harmony of the world. The work is part of a series of works by Yuli Klever dedicated to winter landscapes. Its composition reproduces a motif first presented in 1896 in the painting Boat on a Winter Stream, which became famous thanks to its reproduction on postcards of Tsarist Russia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. In the lower right corner of the painting is the signature: Yuli Klever 1904. Dimensions: Without frame: 125 x 95 cm With frame: 158 x 131 cm Materials: canvas, oil.
