A rare and original silver novelty lighter in the form of a lighthouse, crafted by Short & Mason, Birmingham, in 1931. The object exemplifies functional design combined with decorative artistry characteristic of the Art Deco period. The removable lamp housing features a hinged top providing access to the wick and flint. The base consists of a square plinth containing a compartment for batteries.
