Jugendstil
 Jugendstil is the German name for Art Nouveau, the Art Nouveau style, reflecting the regional trend in art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It implies a holistic synthesis, biocosmic, spiritual unity of living and non-living matter. There is both the continuity of the flow of life and the continuity of the formation of changes. The synthesis of modernity is an indivisible living unity of similar elements and their connections, subordinate to the integrity of constant becoming. The mythology of modernity in metaphors: germination, a woman′s flower, into the revival of things; in the dual hypostasis of a woman in the archetypal nature of the sinful and the angelic; the woman is embodied in mermaids, straws, snakes, sphinxes; kisses, intercourse, ecstasy and eroticism reign; ritual walks and games; reflections of waters, mirrors double the mysteries of the world; the elements of fire consolidate the home universe: the window screen follows the changes of the seasons and the scenes of the day. Time of modernity - languor, duration of waiting. more melodious, asymmetrical and lively In contrast to the French version of the style, which is more windy and asymmetrical, Jugend sounds more solid, symmetrical, more holistic. Significant contributions to the development of the style were made by: Peter Behrens, Ferdinand Knopf and others.
